ID: QofH Jan/15 - Easel Flourish Emblem - The Future card
size: 7"w x 5"h (card closed)

Created: January 17, 2015
Modified:

It's that time of year again for the Queen of Hearts blog hop... I'm using the 3rd of the fabulous Love type stamps from Quietfire Design that came out last week.

("The Future is Uncertain")

I'm also using my favorite newest die from Cuttlebug by Anna Griffin in conjunction with my electronic cutter.

You can see the other cards I made with these newest stamps HERE, HERE & HERE

I die cut the Flourish Emblem twice from white cardstock, adhering them together to get a nice strong base. Applied Versamark around the outer area, avoiding the central area, and embossed with clear embossing powder

Die cut the center portion using Marianne Designs LR0236 set, cutting everything from white cardstock, applied the Versamark on the filigree piece and embossed with Pearlescent embossing powder. Adhered it to the solid background piece then on to the Flourish Emblem piece.

Stamped the "Love" word, masking off the other text and inking with Distress "Spun Sugar" all over, then hitting here and there with "Salty Ocean" & "Peacock Feathers". Sponged some of the Peacock around the edges while in the die. Adhered to front piece.

I had created an eCut file for cutting the easel for this die shape...  (you can see the previous card HERE), but this time I fussy cut around the bottom edge so that the Flourish Emblem piece was totally see through around the edges... Adhered the top piece to the card front.

Added the lace flower with the huge pearl brad I had made a while back as well as the beaded flower sprig one of our Quilling members taught us last year.

Detail

On the floor I adhered a very heavily textured floral heavy scrapbook paper - I so rarely use these papers, but thought it would be perfect for this card... Fussy cut around the floor after adhering rather than eCutting and maybe ruining the paper.

Stamped the whole quote this time using Versafine Black onyx, clear embossed and die cut with Spellbinders "Scalloped Circles". adhered to floor with 3D foam tape.

Created some white roses from white felt using the smaller die from Marianne Designs LR0162 set. I also applied Ice Stickles "Crystal ice" around the edges. Takes a while to dry...
