I took a two day workshop with Renate Worthington in March 2011. She is such a great teacher with so much to share. Romans are not my favorite alphabet... and I've taken quite of few of them, just trying to get the basics down, since they're  such an invaluable hand. But I think I've finally grasped doing them without that frustrating struggle. This class was called "More than Just Caps"

I don't know how many times I've been told which letters are done the size of a square, and the ones done at around 3/4 and then the ones done at 1/2 a square - but do you think it would stick in my brain - no way. In one ear and out the other. Sigh!! And do you know how many little tricks I've been given to remember what size or how to get that size for whatever letter. And here's another SIGH!!. OK so with this class Renate gave us another trick on how to get the right letter proportion. And it's sticking...

I've broken up my pages into my Roman's exemplar, stuff done in Day 1 and stuff done in Day 2. Enjoy
