It's been a couple years since I made one of these accordion fold frame cards... But I thought it would work well with the dress I was making. My quilling group gals want to be thaught how to make one of those dresses, so I figured I better brush up on it. BIG GRIN. You can see the other 2 cards I made a couple years ago HERE (green & Template) & HERE (white) and you can see the original accordion card HERE

Using one of the NEWEST  and a previous release "A Way With Words" dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs  ("Dream") and ("Happy Birthday" 1pce, designed by Suzanne Cannon also available on Quietfire Design HERE & HERE

I'm also using a couple quote stamps from Quietfire Design  on the inside

("Friendship isn't a Big Thing..."); ("You are never Too Old...")

I cut the dress template from 110# white cardstock (see green dress card link above for templates). The first layer of the dress was made using the "paper roll template". I separated a floral napkin and adhered it to a piece of rice paper to add stability, then cut 6 rolls. Shaped them around a bamboo skewer, then adhered the edges together to create the roll, using the bamboo skewer to hold my glue so as not to crease the roll. The top part of the roll is almost a point. You don't want to create to much thickness in the waist area. Adhere the rolls with white glue.

Next layers are scrap pieces of lace cut to about  3" x 3" and rounded on the bottom edge. I found using a glue gun works best. I pinch gathered the top edge, making sure my left and right edges were turned under, then put a small dab of glue on the waist and pressed my lace piece firmly down. By pressing down, I was getting the thinnest layer of glue. Continue till all lace layers are adhered.

Use another piece of lace for the bodice, shaping it to follow the contour of the dress figure and adhere down. Use a piece of pretty ribbon to wrap around the waist area. Added pearl beads/ribbon or other little doodad trim.

The accordion frame was created from 8.5" x 11" white cardstock. I applied Distress "Spun Sugar" all over on both sides and accordion folded the cardstock at 1/2" intervals. Cut the frame pieces apart and adhered the corners.

Stamped the "I Love Paris In The Springtime" (Stampendous) using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed on white cardstock. Sponged some sugar all over and more heavily on the flower area, then sponged a bit of "Antique Linen" all over to mute the pink... Adhered to underside of frame to create my floor.

Dry embossed another piece of white cardstock (Cuttlebug Anna Griffin "Bramble Rose"), then colored direct to paper with "Picked Raspberry", heavily. Sponged over it with some "Gathered Twigs".  Trimmed it down to size to fit my accordion frame and then cut the borders. Adhered to frame.

Created a support for the dress using foam core. Adhered the dress to the frame.

Adhered the pink rhinestones all around the edge of the frame adhering with hot glue to make sure it stuck...

Die cut the "Dream" from white cardstock, inked with the Raspberry and embossed with clear UTEE. Adhered to frame edges.

I scored and folded the Lava paper to create the cover (7"h x 15"w scored at 4", 5", 10" & . 11").

Embossed another piece of white cardstock with the Bramble Rose embossing folder, inking with the raspberry and linen, then cutting a 1"w strip, folding the top and bottom and adhering to the inside.

Die cut the "Happy Birthday from white cardstock, sprayed with Krylon adhesive and sprinkled with Stickles dry glitter "Thistle".

Die cut 2 of the Fleur de Lis (Spellbinders "Fleur de Lis" pendants set) from white cardstock, sponging the top layer with the pink sponge. Adhered the Birthday to the Fleur de Lis. Adhered the 2nd one to the underside of the vertical strip, then adhered the birthday one directly over it giving it more body.

I trimmed the over flap on the top and bottom edges at a slight angle for ease of inserting under strip.

Dry embossed a couple pieces of white cardstock (Cuttlebug Anna Griffin "Climbing Rose"), applied Distress Stain "Spun Sugar" all over and dried. Sponged some Antique Line all over. Trimmed down and adhered to left and right inside panels.

Stamped both quotes using the black, clear embossed and die cut with Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles. adhered to card panels.

The one on the right panel I left unglued at the top edge to use as a pocket for my tag, which is what I'll use to sign the card.
