"Opaque Envelope Exchange - Nadine July/08"

Created: July  21, 2008
Modified: July 24, 2008

Size: 5.25" h x 10" w

I used Arches Black heavy paper which has a rough texture to it. I did my lettering with a couple ruling pens. First with an original Ruling Writer and Dr Martin's Bleed Proof white mixed with some water. When dry went over the letters with Ecoline inks and the Haff 629 Ruling Pen.

I then made a mask of the name/address portion prior to rubber stamping the grid pattern(Just Jhones Mosaic Background).

I then made a mask of the name/address portion prior to rubber stamping the grid pattern(Just Jhones Mosaic Background). I used Brilliance Copper pigment stamp pad and thermal embossed with Queen's Gold embossing powder. I then colored in some of the blocks either with a "white out" pen or a red colored pencil. I love the graphic postage stamps.

Detail

For each envelope I made a card with the details of how I made the envie. I love the central piece of artwork/background. It's made with Pan Pastels and Krylon workable fixative. To see the instructions please click on this link "Pan Pastels - Cards Opaque Envelope"

I punched out the 2 corners (Marvy & a Corner Adorner) to slip my background into from a piece of cream Bazill monochromatic cardstock and then adhered it to a heavily embossed black cardstock and onto then onto the main black card. I rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with gold pigment stamp pad and Queen's Gold embossing powder.
