All three of these card backgrounds are made in the same manner, just with different color combinations, Each one is serendipitous.

Each background starts out with a piece of white cardstock which I was using as a mask for a border background on pages on one of my journals. The repeated coloring and spraying and overlaying created this fabulous darker edged glowing central backgrounds.

I was swiping the colors from about an inch on the mask and over towards my border on the pages, using about 3 colors per border. Each border had different colors, so colors were really merging. After each border was colored, I used a makeup pad to wipe excess color away and of course wiped the color from my mask. When I had done about 10 borders, I started spray "fixing" my pages using this mask as a mask for spraying as well. I used 3 masks, because the build up of the spray took a while to dry. Then I would go back to it when it was dry. I would say I did this about 3 times on each of these masks.

My color palette was: Hansa Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Orange, Permanent Red, Turquoise, Ultramarine Blue, Phthalo Green, Violet, Bright Yellow Green Shade & Burnt Sienna.

I punched out the 2 corners (Marvy & a Corner Adorner) to slip my background into from a piece Bazzill monochromatic cardstock. I rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with gold pigment stamp pad and Queen's Gold embossing powder.
