Mailing Due Date: May 14, 2008
4.5"w x 4"h (the C extends about 1/2 above page)

I used a black cardstock for the main page and ran it through my Cuttlebug using a Dreamweaver 3 cat brass stencil (love this stencil), then used my bone folder on the back to remove the edge of the brass stencil impression. Used my finger to smear some Rub On colors on the cats in a bronze and a silver shade. Slit around the first two cats to insert my large letter "C". Wrote the words using a quill nib and gold gouache. Also put in the linear border using a ruling pen.

Words: Cat got your tongue? I'm the cat's meow! & is that a Cheshire grin?

The "C" was cut out of some paper I recently decorated using the Luminous Marble technique from Julia Andrus's book Paper Transformed. To see how I made the background click on this "Luminous Bkgrd" link

The back is an alcohol background using the streaky method I've recently learnt. Love doing them. To see how and other samples click on this "Alcohol Bkgrd" link.

I wrote out the quote using a micron pen in a very funky style.

Words: Thou art the great cat, the avenger of the gods, and the judge of words, and the president of the sovereign chiefs and the governor of the holy circle; thou art indeed... the GREAT CAT.

Inscription on the Royal Tombs at Thebes
