The top 3 ATCs use the Queen Anne Lace rubber stamp (Old Island #578c) using white stamp pad and detail white embossing powder on black cardstock, then mounted to a bright red cardstock. The words were done with gouache with gold powder floating on top and using a quill nib. |

Words: One touch of nature makes the whole world kin. William Shakespeare |
Words: Pluck not the wayside flower, it is the traveler's dower. William Allingham |
Words: Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet & the wind's long to play with your hair. Kahlil Gibran |
The next 2 ATCs are similar to the PO Squares, but done in a rectangular format. I used the Stubby Stamper's Bird of Paradise in a frame on white cardstock using black stamp pad and detail black embossing powder, coloring it in with Tombow markers and moving the color around with water. Cut the design in half lengthwise and chopped off a bit from the top and bottom, filling in the black border area with a Zig marker. Stuck double sided tape to the back and cut out the negative portions, then stuck it to a piece of mat board which I had covered with Gold Leaf. The Peel Offs sentiment are part of my Calligraphic Peel Offs on the "Elizabeth Craft Design" label. Mounted the flowers to a peach orange Bazzill Monochromatic cardstock, then onto black cardstock. |

This is an odd ATC I made after all the others. A friend sent me an image of a stamp she recently bought which she'd colored in for a card. I liked the image a lot, so I manipulated it on my computer and got a black and white image of it. Printed it out on what I thought was W/C HP paper, but I don't think it was. It just didn't react the way I expect HP paper to react. But it turned out just fine. I used Sakura Gel Pens, Metallic & Gold and moved the color around with water. Cut out the image, turned it upside down (this stamp is over 3" square) and cut of some of the edges. Mounted it to the mint green cardstock and trimmed it close. Then mounted it to purple cardstock. Added the quote using a purple Zig marker. Quote: A morning glory at my window satisfies me more than the metaphysics of books. Walt Whitman |
NOTE: These and other Peel Offs are my calligraphic word sentiments on the "Elizabeth Craft Design" labels. There are 6 styles available at the moment with another 5 to be available mid May/08. They come in four different colors (gold, silver, black, and white); "Thank You", "It's a Boy, It's a Girl", "You're Invited" Congratulations" "Happy Birthday & "Love". The five for May are; "Friends", "Thinking of You", "Xmas Seasonal", "Xmas" & Happy Anniversary" |
