Week 3 consists of days 8 (Acrylic Pants) and 9 (Perfect Pearls). I decided to work with both techniques on the same tag.

I'm also using a quote stamp by Quietfire Design

"Butterfly Circles - May the Wings" 5 pce set

Die cut the tag from white cardstock.

Inked up my background stamps (Local King Rubber "Happiness") using Distress Picket Fence acrylic dauber as a resist. Dried thoroughly. Applied stains in various colors ("Broken China", "Mustard Seed", "Faded Jeans", "Ground Espresso"), misting with water, drying. With a damp paper towel, wipe the excess of the resisted areas. Sponged around the edges with "Ground Espresso".

Die cut the butterfly (Tim's Sizzix Bigs "Layered Butterfly" with embossing folder) from white cardstock.

Embossed the design, first applying "Broken China" acrylic paint to the embossing folder, embossing (cleaning my folder immediately...) drying the butterfly.

Mixing up the Perfect Pearls (1 dropper full of re-inker, 3/4 full of H2º and a good scoop or Perfect Pearls) 1 mister contained "Barn Door" & "Pink Gumball" and the 2nd mister contained "Mustard Seed" & "Perfect Gold".

Misted the butterfly with the Mustard Seed all over and then with the Barn Door.

Adhered butterfly to tag on the body section only and raising the wings. Adding 2 sizes of amber toned rhinestones. and adding white pearl flourishes for the antennae.

Cut a circle from clear Shrink Plastic, stamped the circle quote using Versafine Black Onyx and shrunk. Adhered to tag with Glossy Accents.

Final touch add the brown/silver Sari ribbon.
