I recently learnt a new technique from Tim Holtz's website blog. Loved it so much, thought I'd do it again.

I first stamped the edges with a rollagraph rubber stamp using Delta Pure Color "Snow" and clear embossing it. Then I sprayed my mixtures (see recipe below), let dry, then sprayed with workable fixative prior doing the lettering. The inks and gouache I tried kept bleeding and this did the trick. I used 3 colors of gouache sprinkled with some gold powder and using a Hunts #22 nib. I love the Rennie Mackintosh monolines I also recently learnt in Lynn Slevinsky's class. I added a tag (used my Sizzix die to cut the medium sized tag) and put the instructions for the pages.

Recipe: Fill an eyedropper full of Distress Re-Inkers into a Mini Mister. Add about 1/4 teaspoon of Perfect Pearls, then fill the mister to about 3/4 full. Shake well. My combos were; Vintage Photo with Perfect Bronze; Tattered Rose with Blush. Gorgeous combos in real life.

Quote: Life is sweet because of the friends we have made And the things in common we share; We want to live on, not because of ourselves, but because of the ones who would care. It's living & doing for somebody else on that all of life's splendor depends, And the joy of it all , when we count it all up, is found in the making of Friends. Author Unknown
