This is the 3rd day of the online watercolor for cards class

I'm using one of the newest  stamps from  Quietfire Design. that I got in the m the day before yesterday

Watercolor Block backgrounds with Jennifer McGuire. Her first lesson was a soft background which I didn't do, was more in for the vibrant kind... and wanted to create a kind of sunrise sky. You would think this is way to vibrant for a sky, but you haven't seen some of Calgary's sunrises - they are spectacular.

I applied various colors of art quality watercolors on a large 5 x 5" acrylic block using a 1/2" watercolor brush. Then misted with water, and pressed it down onto my  Arches 90# HP watercolor paper and let the block sit while I went and made some cheese fondue (had a craving...). Was surprised when I came back 20 minutes later and the reaction my paints were having. I really liked the mottled effect

Stamped the word wit Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Used a pointed pen and a mix of Copic white and water to draw in the shadow lines around the words and do some doodling in the "T" area. Used a pencil to shadow some of the doodling. Die cut with Spellbinders Fleur de Lis square set (used the largest square)

Created an eCut file to make a shadow layer of my Fleur de Lis piece from white cardstock and adhered the two together.

Cut a top fold circle card using my EK Success circle scissor from white cardstock. Trimmed the bottom a touch so card stands... Ran through my embossing machine using the Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" folder. Edged the circle with Distress pads "Picked Raspberry" & then again with "Mustard Seed". Adhered my text element with 3D tape.
