This is the 11th day of the online watercolor for cards class.  This was an interesting technique.

I'm using a quote stamp from  Quietfire Design.

Water & Salt technique with Jennifer Rzasa

The background was painted on Arches HP 90# watercolor paper with artist quality watercolors. With very wet color, paint a small abstract area, then paint around it with black, making sure the black hits the wet color so it merges. Splatter a bit if your area is over large to get some interest in the central area. Keep doing a color and surrounding with black till you've covered your paper. If your paints are starting to dry, sprinkle some of your areas with the salt now, before they are totally dry. The salt reacts with the water and paint and when dry will have created a starburst type effect. Different salts and different papers and the amount of wetness all determine the end result.

Set aside to dry, then rub off the salt. Wet your brush with opaque white paint and spatter for a starry night. Trim down and adhere to a light blue cardstock then adhere off the edge onto a side folded dark blue cardstock.

Quote stamped with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

Silver Peel Off stars, some pink and plain rhinestone stars added.
