ID: Rainbow Maker Day1 - Rainbow Circle Blending - ECD Happy Birthday - Wishing You card
size: 5.5"w x 4.25"h (easel closed)

Created: August 7, 2017

I signed up for another of Jennifer Mcguire's onLine classes. I was in a little slump and wanted some inspiration... I'm getting plenty of that in the first day. Sheesh. I haven't been up this late in eons... Feels good.

I'm using an A Way With Words die "Happy Birthday" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

And using a sentiment stamp set from Quietfire Design,

("Wishing You Whimsy" 4pce set);

Scored and folded my aqua cardstock to create the easel, cutting another piece the same size as card for the front.

I worked on 110# Staples brand white cardstock, blending using a round sponge and Oxide pads (starting with Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Lucky Clover, Broken China, Wilted Violet) and working in a circle shape. Trimmed down. Adhered to front.

Die cut the "Happy Birthday" from a blue cardstock, inked with Versamark and embossed with Emerald Creek "Turquoise Shimmer" embossing powder. Added a few gel flowers.

On the floor:  Used another of the days blended techniques, this one was slightly different than taught... I used a mask of the heart shape instead of the stencil shape (Spellbinders "Hearts"), blending with the same colors as the front.

Stamped the sentiment using Distress "Picket Fence" and embossing with white embossing powder.

Tied a multi loop Sari ribbon bow ("Fairy" available at

Die cut the flourished heart from a purple cardstock, inked with Versamark and clear embossed.

Added more gel flowers.
