ID: MC Jun/17 - Easel Oxide Jumbo - ECD Thinking Of You - I Don't Tell You card
size: 7"w x 5"h (easel closed)

Created: June 12, 2017
Modified:

This is another one of my more recent Oxide backgrounds I made when with the gals. The sky is part of the other half of the Oxide background I made for the Kenya card which you can see HERE

I'm using a couple of an A Way With Words dies "Thinking Of You" 3pce die set and "Calligraphic Elements 2" 3pce set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE and HERE

I'm a sentiment stamp set from Quietfire Design.

("I Don't Tell you Often Enough..." 5pce set);

Scored and folded my pale orange Bazzill Monochromatic cardstock to create the easel, and cut another piece same size for the front.

See below for what the full sheet of the oxide background looked like prior cutting apart for this card. Die cut with Spellbinders Circle dies set and adhered to the front piece.

I electronically cut the African tree image from white cardstock, painted with Distress Dabber "Black Soot", dried then inked with a black pad and embossed with Distress "Black Soot" embossing powder.

I also electronically cut the elephant piece (Local King Rubber "Jumbo"), then inked my stamp with a brown stamp pad.

Adhered the elements to the card front.

Die cut the "Thinking Of You" from a scrap of black cardstock on my desk.

On the floor:

Electronically cut the elephants from white cardstock, stamped (Local King Rubber "Jumbo") with Versafine Black Onyx and embossed with Emerald Creek "Oil Rubbed Bronze" embossing powder. Adhered to floor.

Stamped the various parts of the sentiments on a scrap piece of the light orange cardstock using the black and clear embossing.

Die cut the ampersand from black cardstock and adhered strategically. Die cut the words using Elizabeth Craft Designs "Stitched Rectangles" die set. Sponged around the edges with "Picked Raspberry" very lightly. Adhered to floor with 3D foam tape to act as my stopper.

Apply Oxide pads on a craft sheet, mist with water and then pounce with heavy weight paper or cardstock into the mess, repeating until the whole sheet is covered to my liking... I used the left hand piece for the front of this card cutting with a large Spellbinders circle die set. The rest was used on another card...
