ID: MC May16 - One Sheet Fold card - ECD Happy Birthday, Friend - Enjoy Your Day
size: 5.5"w x 5.5"h

Created: May 18, 2016
Modified:

I'll be teaching this one sheet fold structure for cards at the next Paper Pastimes Pop Up store the weekend of July 23 - 24, 2016. Due to time constraints, it will only be the fold structure and embellishing - no calligraphy, but I'll probably demo some anyway. BIG GRIN.

The fold is constructed from a square piece of paper using a basic fold structure which I altered to create my own structure. For more details come join me in class... See more samples HERE

I'm using a couple of the "A Way With Words" dies "Happy Birthday", "Friends", from Elizabeth Craft Designs designed by Suzanne Cannon (also available HERE, HERE).

I scored and folded my citrus green cards.

Cut a piece of white cardstock, inked one side of my embossing folder (Marianne Designs) using Distress "Twisted Citron", ran through my machine, then trimmed down and adhered to card front.

Die cut the "Happy Birthday" from white cardstock, inked with Versafine "Majestic Blue" and embossed with Emerald Creek Hot Stuff "Blue Sparkle" embossing powder. Adhered to card.

Created an eCut file of the Altenew "Majestic Blooms" stamp and cut from 90# Arches Hot Press watercolor paper. Painted with QoR watercolors, then accented with some Iridescent Medium.

Leaves are from my stash, die cut (Elizabeth Craft Designs "Curly Leaves") from Colour Burst decorated watercolor paper.

The butterfly is also from my stash and after adhering to card front, added some mini white half pearls.

I finally can use some of my patterned scrapbook papers... in this case a geometric one to create the fold structure.

All the quotes and sentiments were stamped with the Majestic Blue and clear embossed. Edges sponged with the Twisted Citron.

Added some some words using Elizabeth Craft Designs "Alphabet Die sets"

The butterfly, dragonfly and ladybug are from my stash.

More majestic blooms, the "Friend" minus the "s"... curly leaves, done as the front.

Created eCut files for the "Peony Scrolls" flowers, inked with Versamark on watercolor paper and embossed with white embossing powder, then painted with the QoR watercolors.

Punched holes in the message tags and tied a blue/gold Sari ribbon to each.
