ID: MC May16 - Yellow Rose - ECD Friends - A Treasure card
size: 5.5"w x 4.25"h

Created: May 30, 2016
Modified:

I got my newest batch of Quietfire Design rubber stamps and Suzanne has outdone herself AGAIN!!! I was itching to use the "rose" stamp... and you can see my 1st card HERE. Now I wanted a pink rose...

I'm using one of the "A Way With Words" dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs ("Merry Christmas") designed by Suzanne Cannon (also available HERE).

I'm also using one of the newest quote stamps on the front and sentiment stamps on the floor from Quietfire Design

("The Earth Laughs In Flowers" 2pce set);  ("God Gave Us Memory");  ("I Don't Tell You Often Enough" 5pce set)

Scored and side folded my green toned cardstock to create the easel.

As I mentioned on the yellow rose card, after getting my new stamps I immediately created an eCut file (no fussy cutting...) of the rose, cut from watercolor paper, stamped using Versafine "Vintage Sepia" and embossed with Queen's Gold embossing powder. Painted wet in wet with QoR watercolors, then went over everything with iridescent medium.

Inked up my embossing folder using Distress mini pads "Spun Sugar" on the flowers and then here and there with "Picked Raspberry" and "Crushed Olive" on the leaves with here and there "Forest Moss". Misted with water and embossed on white cardstock. The front embossed pieces is actually the "debossed" effect. Distressed the edges with Tim's distresser, then sponged some brown on the edges and on the front. Adhered to a chocolate brown cardstock which I also distressed the edges, then adhered both layers to the easel front.

Stamped the quote inking with the olive all over and here and there with the moss and raspberry, stamping and clear embossing.

On the floor: Created another embossed piece using the same colors, but this time the results are the "embossed" effect.

Stamped the quote inking with the olive all over and here and there with the moss and raspberry, stamping and clear embossing.

Adhered to the brown cardstock, both with edges distressed. Adhered to floor using a thick layer of hot glue.

Adhered the ribbon pieces on either side and added the little pearl flowers.

Die cut the "Merry Christmas" from white cardstock, colored with a deep pink Tombow marker, then hit it with the raspberry pad and embossed with Emerald Creek Hot Stuff "Silver Satin Pearl" embossing powder. Adhered the flourished area to the floor allowing the rest of the die cut to just pop up naturally.

As a final touch adhered some sequins to the front with Glossy Accents.
