We're having a DIE-ING FOR SPRING BLOG HOP Mar 30 to Apr 3rd using Suzanne's newest dies - love them. She came out with 3 - Believe, Thanks & Hello.

I'm also using a quote stamp on the inside from Quietfire Design  and some eCuts available on the Silhouette onLine store

("Leave Room in Your Garden"); die ("Believe"); eCuts (Fairy "Fairy Leaping"); (ampersand "Live Long & Prosper")

Die cut the word "Believe" from 110# white cardstock twice and glued them together to get a nice thick layer.

Lay the word (right side up) on my embossing machine platform, a piece of white 110# cardstock, tan mat (Spellbinders) and the rest of my sandwich. Ran through my machine with enough pressure to emboss without tearing the paper. (PS this technique gives a different embossed design than my other embossed card using the die for embossing which you can see HERE). Removed from machine and swiped over the high points with Distress "Spun Sugar" then "Old Paper". Die cut the edges (Creative Expressions Sue Wilson "Gemini - Delphinus") set. Die cut a 2nd layer slightly larger, painted the edges with Distress acrylic dauber "Seedless Preserves", then adhered the 2 layers together. I die cut a 3rd layer to splice on the bottom to extend my front piece.

Dry embossed this 3rd layer and the top section of the front using Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" embossing folder.

Scored, die cut the inside bottom edge (using the design and edging elements of the die set), and folded my easel card (7" for the inside, then 2.25", and whatever is left over (approx 1.75"). Used the same edging element and die cut another layer, painted with the Preserves, then adhered under the the card floor, matching the floor layer. Trimmed off any excess.

Adhered my embossed layer to the front (ps it is larger than the side fold piece (approx 4"). I needed it to cover the stamping on the floor, so positioned it accordingly - see the closed card image below (the toe of the fairy sticks out a bit - sigh!!).

On the inside eCut the fairy from white cardstock and painted with "Black Soot" dauber. Applied PVA glue to the wings and glittered using Stickles "Star Dust" dry glitter. Adhered fairy to card floor leaving part of her wing unglued to act as a stopper.

eCut the ampersand at 1" h adding/welding a small rectangle to it, to be able to adhere the ampersand to my floor and act as another stopper. Also cut a shadow layer of the ampersand only. Painted the 1st layer with the Preserves and adhered to the shadow layer, then adhered the little rectangle to the floor.

Stamped the quote using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

I just got a bunch of new stamps and made silhouette images of them to eCut (avoiding all the fussy cutting after stamping BIG GRIN), so I had all these little samples on my desk... (Leane Creatief "Blossom #55.0591"; leaves from (Altenew "Lacy Scrolls" ) and adhered them here and there.
