ID: MC July/14 - Easel Blossoms - Smile Amen Of Nature HB - card
size: 7"w x 5"h (easel closed)

I wanted to make some simpler flowers using that Blossom Tool I created... I just can't get these flowers to be less high... costly for mailing Sigh!!

I'm also using sentiment & quote stamps and an eCut from Quietfire Design

(Birthday, Amen, Smile)

I scored and created my easel from mango toned cardstock. Repeatedly stamped the various birthday sentiments as a background using Versafine "Black Onyx".

Die cut the "Beaded Circle" (Spellbinders) from white cardstock and sponged Distress "Mustard Seed" in the pearl areas. Used the die to cut an inner circle from the yellow roses scrapbook paper and adhered to beaded circle. Stamped the quote with the black.

Adhered some "Golden" Sari ribbon around the bottom half of the easel front, adhered the beaded circle and then adhered the bow.

The blossoms are eCut petals from decorated cardstock I made eons ago (splattered, misted, flicked, painted...). Used the faux blossom tool (see here) to shape my petals, then adhered them around a circle using a glue gun. Adhered the stamen and then adhered black Flower Soft. Adhered flowers to circle.

Quilled leaves are something new I tried using 2 or 3 different colored quill strips at a time to form the circles and creating the "teardrop" shaped leaves. Gives an interesting variation.

I adhered white half pearls to each of the beaded areas on the circle and as a final touch to the front adhered a glittered pink with yellow undertones butterfly from a previous eCut design project.

On the floor of the easel I adhered another piece of the rose scrapbook paper leaving a 1/16" border all around.

eCut the smile from the mango cardstock and then cut shadow layer which I colored black. Adhered them together then onto the floor.

I had some leafy sprigs from a previous project on my desk (Marianne Designs), so adhered one to the floor and then added more quilled leaves and the remnants of the petals to make a small flower. Added a large amber rhinestone in its center.
