These Peel off fish are just so much fun to use and color. They are by Els van de Burgt (ecraftdesigns.com). This is another guy card, which I usually have difficulty with, because I tend to favor doing floral or butterfly/dragonfly type cards. But I thought the fish would work really well.
I started out by applying the Peel Off fish onto the wrong side of Canson Biggie watercolor paper, (put a piece of double sided tape on the back) coloring it in with Peerless watercolors (love these, they are just a flat sheet of paper with a concentrated application of watercolors on them, one color per sheet). When dry I went over the fins with some iridescent medium to make them sparkle a bit. I left the circles on the fish white. I was debating whether to fill them in with color or glitter or faux rhinestones, but decided to leave them plain - they pop now. Cut the fish out and lay them aside while I did the vertical strip of gilding.
