ID: Celtic Coloring Technique

Some people were interested to lean the way I color my knotwork.

On Fabriano 1264 Mixed Media paper using a Fine Tip Sharpie pen for the outline, graphite shading on the weave section. Watercolors on the trefoil knots. Background colored with a black Sharpie

The 1st 2 images use the same brand of color, one on white paper and the other on black. The bluish color (scribbled number on the black) and the 2875 color are on both papers. Since it's a metallic it shows up truer on the black.

middle row, 2nd and 3rd image on different papers. on the Staples and just as a colored pencil. On the Canson Mixed Media paper and the colors wet. Quite a difference in effect.

The Prisma color on the Fabriano does not work as well unless that's the effect you're looking for...
