We had another ZOOM knot session. I LOVED the one with the square holes... I said it would be great to add rhinestones... So I created one that had lots of those square areas...

The image on the left is the progression from the basic drawn shape, adding color, then calligraphy and finally adding the gems. I must mention I create the design on a grid I created, Graphite the back of that paper and then trace it onto my good paper, so from start to getting it on the good paper I've drawn the design 3 times...

On Fabriano 1264 Mixed Media paper using a Zig Writer to outline my knot frame. The first image is the basic design. The 2nd image is the shading using a Juice Up purple pen in a linear effect. The 3rd image, I added the calligraphy using a 3.8 Parallel pen and Sumi ink in a basic Blackletter style and added a purple shadow line. The last image the gems were added using Gem Tack glue.
