We were given a challenge to create the whole alphabet in Celtic style within the next 3 months... We're about 5 of us in the group so it's doable... each one of us having to make about 5 letters.

I had already done the "k" below and decided to start with the letter "A"

On Fabriano 1264 Mixed Media paper using a Fine Tip Sharpie pen, Bister & Brusho w/c powders sprinkled onto a wet area (I did it in sections...). I used a Zig Clean Color to paint the negative areas. added some graphite shading.

I googled Celtic letters for a "D" and this one popped up I really liked so did a similar one.

I googled Celtic letters for an "E" and this one popped up I really liked so did a similar one. That section to make it an "e" instead of a "c" was not easy at first...

On black Strathmore Artagain using a silver Juice Up pen for the outline, colored with Faber-Castell Black Edition colored pencils green #766 & blue #708 and negative space painted with Close To My Heart Shimmer pen Gold.

Since I wasn't happy with the blue one which I thought didn't have any umph... I decided to make the red/yellow one.

The blue one colored with Prisma colored pencils. Interior sections with US ArtQuest Mica colors Antique Bronze then Macro Pearl.

The red/yellow with Inktense w/c pencils then shadowed with a Zig Writer.

"J" on Black Recollections cardstock using Kuretake Brilliant Gold Mica ink and a pointed nib (Brause #361) to outline my letter, Pilot Juice Up Metallic pens for the inner shading (gold for the outer string and a pink for the inner string). Pity it doesn't scan well... I used hash lines for the shading strokes. Gold Unibal gel pen for the dots.

"K" on Black Recollections cardstock using Bleed Proof white ink to outline the letter with a pointed nib (Brause #361), Gansai Tambi gold paint #902 for the stem and Black Edition colored pencils for the shading using #778 & #779. Gold Unibal gel pen for the dots

On Fabriano 1264Mixed Media paper outlined my Celtic letter with a Micron 08 pen. Colored with Inktense w/c pencils "Deep Violet". Shadowed with the Micron pen and added Holographic sticky dots.
