Lynn Slevinsky - Concertina Bird Booklet - P1 (April 21, 2018)
Created April 22, 2018
Modified:

This booklet is made from 2 sided decorative cardstock for the cover and measures 6.5" x 9.5" closed. The pages are manila envelops (9 x 12" folded in half).  I punched out corners from black cardstock using an EK Success corner adorner punch "Square Steps". I wanted to be able to pull out and change the order of the pages if I wanted... All pages are created on "Moh Via Felt Tex 80# Natural" paper. It has a light texture. All page artwork was trimmed down to 5.5" x 8.75"

The spine area is enforced with Tyvek which I colored with a green Prisma colored pencil. On the inside, both cover edges are re-inforced with an extra piece of cardstock.

From my stash I had some napkin flowers which were adhered to cardstock and fussy cut... I adhered them to the cover adding the Hummingbird (Designs By Ryn) stamp which I had electronic cut.

The lettering for the word "Bird" was penciled on white cardstock, fussy cut and then colored with various media, Pentel Colour Brushes, Prisma colored pencil, then doodled with a white or black marker.

ID: Giant Philodendron - Macaw - Every Single Day

I recently did a card with this basic design and loved it, so had to make a page with it as well...

I drew the philodendron leaves with a pencil, outlined everything with a fine tipped black marker and then painted with watercolors.

Electronically cut the bird and then stamped and colored with Prisma colored pencils. Adhered over top of the leave.

Calligraphy done with a Zig marker in a monoline "Renee Mackintosh" alphabet style.
