I recently saw the black and white celtic square with some lettering in one of the paths... I really liked the style and shadowing effect, so decided to mimic it... Then decided I wanted some color (2nd image), then I thought lets do some doodling... (bottom Image). The only thing I don't like is the grey in the background of the lettering. I used colored pencils instead of continuing with watercolors. sigh!! But I really like the doodling. BIG GRIN.
On Fabriano 1264 Mixed Media paper using a Uniball Signo black gel pen for all the outlining and dot work. Gansai Tambi rich gold paint for the words.
The pencil piece done on Canson Pro Marker paper using a Caran d'Ache B pencil and paper stump.
