4.5"w x 4"h (the O extends 1/4" above and to the side) I
used a dark blue Bazzill Monochromatic cardstock. I just picked
up these oversized Monogram letters by MSE real cheap. They were
originally $8.99Cdn each and I got them for $2.00 each. Anyway,
I stamped the O using my wide applicator of 2 way glue and a
piece of mat board and then laying a piece of gold leaf over it.
Cut out the mat board and colored the edge a dark blue. Glued it
to the page a little over the edges (I'm in an over the edge
kind of mood this weekend). Used a 1.5 Parallel pen to write the
word Oriental in a dark blue ink in a Neuland style, when dry I
went around the edges with a quill nib and Bleed Proof white
ink. I found the Haiku on the web and thought it would be nice
here. Punched out my Sakura flowers from some decorated papers
from eons ago (that Lorraine Douglas class). Used a large
rounded stylus to give a 3D effect to the flowers and only glued
them on the center areas, so their petals are slightly raised,
also added a yellow Stickles dot .
Rubber stamped the Dragonfly (Pink Cat Studios - Oriental Stamp
Set) onto a piece of green vellum using a dark green Color Box
stamp pad and Pearl embossing powder. Cut it out and only glued
the body so the wings are free and slightly raised. Now
hopefully it will keep it's shape in the mail. |
