Just a note: I was checking out Lorraine Douglas's blog and noticed her  "Seekers" broadside. Loved her lettering. I like Neuland lettering but always found some of the letters just too heavy or thick. This funky style is exactly what I was looking for. All the letters weren't represented in her broadside, but with a little playing I came up with a set of letters I'm very content with. Thanks Lorraine for jump starting me.

I started out with black heavy cardstock. I used one of Betty Locke's automatic pens (medium) and Dr Martin's Bleed Proof white ink for the large letters. When dry I put my design elements in using Sakura Metallic Gel Pens, then added Stickles dots. Wrote in my quote using Ecoline Gold and a quill nib. Added a Peel Off's ladybug.

Detail Front

The back uses the same lettering style but I used an empty 6.0 Parallel Pen instead. The Particulars section, I made a deckled edged negative mask and used Pan Pastels in Hansa Yellow & Orange. Then wrote my name and stuff with either the white ink or Moon Palace Sumi ink. The whitish border on the right I used a paper ribbon as a stencil. I sprayed everything with Krylon Workable Fixative.
