4.5"w x 4.5"h

I was playing with embossing pastes and trying out the techniques from New Dimensions by Lynell Harlow. I've used several of them in this mingle.

This is a basic application of white Dreamweaver paste, letting it dry and then coloring it with Pebbles Pearlescent chalks and Pan pastels.

I used a metallic copper cardstock and a chain link type background stencil. I masked off some of the background to get the size I needed as well as masking a center portion for my particulars. I mixed some white paste with a black acrylic paint.

Detail "E"

I really like this double masking technique. I cut out a stencil for the letter "e" and used Pearlescent chalks to color it in, then lay a background stencil on top (a swirl kind) and used the gold paste. I trimmed it close and then mounted it to some shinny black paper and trimmed that too.

I colored the butterfly with Pearlescent chalks, smeared a very thin coat of white paste over it and let dry. Added a touch of glitter to the pink upper portion of the wings. Cut it close and glued it to my background.

The background is translucent embossing paste on shinny black paper.

I used a Columbia Mills end sheet paper, Pan Pastels for the background and rubber stamped the flourish autumn leaves (Inkadinkado) and the birds (Magenta). Wrote in Beth's name and address using Moon Palace Sumi ink.
