Created: January, 2012 This week's theme is to layer dies or In the New . I'm using a quote stamp from the Nature Quote Marks set from Quietfire Design. (I altered it, in that I put half the quote on one side and half on the other side) |
| I die cut 3 of the Labels Seven Spellbinders dies from white cardstock. Sponged some Distress Old Paper on the edges. Used the die for the largest page the mask the edge and stamped with a Latin text stamp (Lost Coast Rubber) using Versafine Black Onyx. The second page was also stamped with this text stamp, but then I put several coats of Distress Stains Picket Fence, drying between layers. The top page was stamped with the quote stamp with the black, The flowers (Flourishes #144 From the Desk Of set) using Versafine Smoky Grey and clear embossing, then coloring with watercolors. All the pages were edged with a gold Krylon leafing pen. The booklet was sewn together with gold metallic thread. |
I made a silhouette image of
the other two stamps from the Flourishes set to cut with my Cricut on
white cardstock, then stamped the image with the grey and clear
embossed. The flowers in the sewn booklet are painted with watercolors
and the flower vase on the books were done with colored pencils. I added
Distress Stickles Mustard Seed to the centers of hte flower spray and
just plain Stickles Yellow on the petals of the lower flowers. The main card is white and I embossed it with a Cuttlebug 5 x 7 embossing folder from the Lacy Labels set #2001047. Sponged a bit of Antique Linen on the edges. Adhered all the elements. |
