I'm using another background I made eons ago. I'm pretty sure it was Pearlescent acrylics brayered on to white cardstock, in a peachy tone and an aqua tone. Very soft looking in real. It's layered onto a bright orange main card.

I used the EK Success deep edger "Le Circle punch on medium weight rice paper (with a piece of copy paper underneath) The rice paper was another of those under layers that turned out a gorgeous mottled green. After punching the design (see Nitty Gritty Tutorial using border punches), I ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Mesh folder, brayered the high points with Perfect Medium and embossed with Queen's Gold. Adhered them to the card, then put a letter into each circle to spell the words "Happy Birthday". In the empty spaces between the words, I created 3D flowers using a McGill Petite Petals punch and scrunched/embossed decorated paper in orange/red tones. Pinched and formed the petals to stand up, added orange stamen and adhered them to the card. Used a not quite oval shape punch (Punch Bunch) to create the leaves, again from green decorated/embossed paper. Scrunched up the bottom area and adhered tot he stamen stems.

Stamped the quote (Quietfire DesignQuote Marks set) with Versafine black. Then added a small red heart rhinestone.
