ATC A Month - Themes Tea/Coffee or the color of Fall (September 2008)

"Color of Fall"

These all start out with a stenciling technique. I recently went to a mini class taught by Marie Browning and thought I'd put into practice some of the things I was taught. I must admit, most of them I already knew and have used, but not in a very long time. So this was a nice refresher.

ID: Stencil - Autumn Breeze (unavailable)

I used a Mylar stencil from Evolving images and Pebbles Pearescent chalks and their cotton balls to do the background leaves. I then over stamped the feathery type leaves (Magenta #C40265) with Versafine black onyx. This reminded me so much of a breeze moving the leaves, hence the words. Mounted it to a reddish brown cardstock.

Same Mylar stencil and stamp pads. Used a different rubber stamped image (Fred Mullet Italian Parsley) . Mounted it to a reddish brown cardstock

I Used the Fred Mullet stamp from above and Ranger's Resist stamp pad, then colored the leaf and surrounding area with Pebbles Pearlescent chalks then over stamped twice with a leaf flourish stamp (Inkadinkado Foliage Trails) and clear embossed one of them. Mounted to bright orange cardstock.

Same Mylar stencil & Pebbles Pearlescent chalks. Mounted to reddish brown cardstock.

ID: Stencil - Teasdale (unavailable)

ID: Stencil - Tom Jones

I used a hand cut stencil I made a while back and Distress Dye ink stamp pads and stencil brushes. Then moved the stencil slightly over and applied a darker shade just to the bottom edges. I like the dept this gives.

Words: Try to remember the kind of September when life was slow and oh so mellow. Tom Jones
