ID: MC Apr/15 - Quill Pansies - Lattice Window - HB - Love Laughter  card
size:  5"w x 5"h

Created: April 25, 2015

I saw some quilled pansies on Pinterest and decided I wanted to make some too... I'm using my own eCut quill strips painted with Distress acrylic daubers. And one of the challenges called for a round card, so I thought of a round latticed window, then added the window bow to stabalize the card.

I'm using a Birthday sentiment and the Love & Laughter quote on theinside from Quietfire Design

("Happy Birthday - Plain and Simple" 7pce set); ("Home - Congratulations" 5pce set);

I drew the circle & lattice, then scanned it and manipulated it in my photo editing program, uploaded to my electronic cutter, welded the circles together and cut. eCut a couple more of the circle border and a solid circle.

I dry embossed the card front using Sizzix "Woodgrain" embossing folder, sponged some "Antique Linen" then hit the high points with "Gathered Twigs".

For the lattice, I left it on my cutting mat, applied Distress daubers "Scattered Straw" all over, then here and there with "Mustard Seed", "Cracked Pistachio" & "Rusty Hinge". Removed it from my mat. Now I also have the makings for another card using all the square drop out pieces...

Cut the lattice to fit the back of my window and adhered. Cut a piece of clear Graffix plastic and adhered to back of window.

Embossed the extra window frame piece using Marianne Designs "Dutch Dots" embossing folder. Sponged with "Spun Sugar" then hit high points with "Dusty Concord". Adhered to back of window.

Cut a couple pieces of rectangles for my window box. Applied mustard seed to the lip. Sponged a pit of antique Linen to the bottom piece, then stamped the border design (unknown stamp) using Distress Picked Raspberry", Mustard Seed, and Peeled Paint" and stamped.

Die cut the ivy leaves (Creative Expressions Sue Wilson "Trailing Ivy") using a dark green Ruche cardstock. Adhered to window frame.

Adhered my quilled pansies and leaves.

Stamped the Happy Birthday using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Trimmed close to stamping, rounded one end and cut a point on the other, punched a hole and tied a purple narrow ribbon, Adhered to window box.

Scavenged in my butterfly box and found this Memory Box "Vivienne Butterfly" die cut from a silver wrapping paper adhered to cardstock. I then glued it to a piece of purple Mulberry paper. Added the tiny amber rhinestones to the body and adhered to window.

As a final touch on the front added some white half pearls to the window box stamping.

On the inside Stamped the quote using the black, clear embossed on the eCut solid circle. Created a mask from some tracing paper and then stamped the pansy image (Auntie Amy) also using the black . Colored with Prisma colored pencils. Adhered circle to card.
