Created: April 27,
2020 Cards are 4.25 x 5.5" landscape mode done on dark aqua blue cardstock. Both these cards, I think, would make good sympathy or encouragement cards.

ID: TH _Grunge - Stormy Sea
Pressed my Distress pads onto Broken China, Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry). Misted with water and pressed my 110# Staples cardstock into the mess... Dried and repeated. After looking at it a while, I kept seeing waves, so used a bit of Picket Fence paint and a pointed brush to add white caps. Also painted the birds in the sky with Black Soot paint. Wrote the text using a pointed nib and Sumi ink: "A shining isle in a stormy sea, we seek it ever with smiles and sighs, to-day is sad, in the bland to-be, serene and lovely to-morrow lies." Mary C Ames Trimmed down and adhered to the blue cards. |
ID: TH _Grunge - Midst Of The Storm
Using the same technique and colors as the card above, plus added a streak of "Vintage Photo" reinker. Misted with water and pressed my cardstock into the mess. Dried and repeated. When I looked at the finished piece it reminded me of a stormy sky... So I wrote the quote using the pointed pen nib and Sumi ink: "Even in the midst of the storm the sun is still shining." Dayna Lovely Trimmed down and adhered to the blue card.
