Sample 17:
Write a word on tracing paper with a bullet tipped black marker.
Turn tracing paper over so you have a reversed word. Tape to
work surface. Lay Gelli plate on top of tracing paper also
taping it down using the bottom clear protective sheet that
comes with the plate.

Sample 18: on Arches Text Wove Place stencil (needs to have nice size openings in the design) on Gelli plate and using a catylst applicator or plastic palette knife, smear on Golden’s soft gel medium. Impress various textures in the openings. Remove stencil and pull a print (you won’t see anything now). Allow to dry.
When dry, spritz onto paper Perfect Pearls Mist “Sunflower
Sparkle”. Brayer on Gelli plate Folk Art Metallic Blue Sapphire.
Pull a print with the wet misted paper. Wipe off paints from the
gelled areas. Mist with the spray and pull the print again using
another coat of the blue. Wipe off excess. |
Sample 19: The impression made on the Gelli plate from the gel medium design will make a nice print too. Just pull a print. Brayer on Gelli plate Silks Acrylic Glaze “Emperor’s Gold” and pull the print again.

Sample 20: on arches
Text Wove On this sample I applied the gell medium through a stencil directly to the paper Set aside to dry. Brayered Silks “Ginger Peach” & ”Nutmeg” on to Gelli plate. Pulled my stencilled paper, and cleaned off the excess paints. Brayered on Gelli plate Folk Art “Metallic Rose Shimmer” and pulled the same paper, wiped of excess. |

Sample 49: on
Columbia Mills LBS end paper Brayered the gelli plate with gel medium, lay stencil down and pulled a print. set aside to dry and used Distress Stains "Victorian Violet", "Scattered Straw" "Picked Raspberry" & "Tarnished Brass". Normally you would wipe off the paint on the gel areas, but the Tarnished Brass stuck to it leaving a tinted appearance. |

Columbia Mills LBS end paper Everything the same as above except: Stencil removed before print was pulled and did not use the Tarnished Brass |
