ID: Ecoline - Resist Pad 5 - Tanaka (Gate Fold)
5"w x 7"h

Created: June 5, 2009

For the background I used Quietfire Design flourishes both the large and small and the Ranger's Resist stamp pad on glossy paper (see technique detail below). Rubber stamped the quote "If you need a shoulder" also from Quietfire, with Versafine "Majestic Blue". Mounted this to a deep blue metallic cardstock then adhered it only to the left side of a dark blue cardstock which I had rubber stamped the large flourish with Versamark and clear embossed it.

The large flourish is a Sizzix Bigz die Decorative Accents #8. I punched it out of double sided tape, stuck it to my card, removed teh protective layer and added Ritz Glitter micro fine glitter in Blue Teal, Rose and Stardust, burnishing well to get the sparkle.

Background Technique:

Glossy cardstock. Stamp images with Rangerís resist stamp pad. Heat set.

Put a few drops of Ecoline inks (Ultramarine Violet & Carmine) on a melt art mat (not mixed together) and pick up color on the edge of a clean Inkssentials sponge tool. Just enough to color, but not saturated, and sponge over the whole CS, picking up more ink as needed.

Image 1) Mist CS with water to allow inks to merge/blend; pickup excess water with a paper towel, just in the puddles. Let dry.

Image 2) Misted the melt art mat instead and placed the cardstock face down in the moisture and moved it around a bit, then lifted it up and let dry.

Went over the stamped images with a clean slightly damp sponge tool. Let dry.

I prefer the misting of the cardstock rather than working on the melt art mat.

Inside the card. The flourishes on the right hand side is the front of the card not opened up. I have a light blue marbled paper for writing a sentiment and the left side I added another piece of  resist background.
