Each booklet is
made with a cream toned copy paper either. This paper is good for all sorts of media
from pen and ink to colored pencils, markers and even a touch of
watercolor. There are 6 signatures of 4 sheets folded in half (16 pages per signature) for a total of 96 pages per booklet. Page sizes are 1.5" x 1.5" with top and bottom of page cut and foredge cut with a deckle rotary blade. The area where the 4 ply waxed linen thread wraps around the spine at the top and bottom is reinforced with a piece of mat board for strength and durability. Each cover is folded and glued to the inside. The boxes are painted on the inside for a finished look. The ribbon is glued to three sides of the box and letter beads are added to the ribbon to spell out a word. A glass bead is added as an adjuster for necklace length. The knot to tie the two ribbon ends is hidden inside a bead and glued in place. |
