ID: Mini Booklet Butterfly Boxed

2.25"w x 2.25"h x 3/4" thk.

This is another mini booklet made using my hand made Paste Papers on Oriental rice paper. The box is made from regular cardstock covered with the rice paper. The book covers are mat board and the spine area reinforced with linen hinging tape and covered with the rice paper. The inside is also covered with the rice paper.

 Not visible is the inside bottom portion of the box which is painted with acrylic metallic paint in a purple tone.

Top and bottom of each page is straight cut and the fore edge is cut with a deckle rotary blade. The book opens flat for easy writing. Pages are made from cream toned LBS end sheet paper from Columbia Mills. It's a heavy weight paper and works well with pencil, colored pencils & markers and many inks although not good with very liquid ink. There are 12 signatures of 3 sheets folded in half (12 pages per signature), with a total of 144 pages in the book. Each page is 2" square. I used a 2 ply cream toned waxed linen thread for binding.
