 ID: Spice of Life
I used book board for the covers, and covered them with a heavily textured, white with some glitter paper. On the inside of the covers I used the same paper. |

View of pages and envelopes | This book has 7 signatures. There are 4 signatures that have 5 colored pages (combinations of Canson, Canson Ingres & Canson Mi-Tientes) plus the envelope. A green signature, pink, yellow & blue. And 3 signatures that have various artist paper (Stonehenge "Cream", Mayfair, Arches Text Wove, Hosho Rice Paper, Grumbacher's Pentalic Paper for Pens & Grumbacher's Pentalic - Parchment paper for Calligraphy.

| I used a a 4 ply waxed linen thread (Olive) to sew the signatures in a running stitch. The beads are a variety of wood, metal and glass medium sized (#8) seed beads. And some alphabet beads that spell out the word "Spice of Life". I created a weaving for the cover from some belt stiff (the green). It's a fabulous material to work with, doesn't tear, has nice flexibility, can be colored with colored pencils or other mediums. I cut wavy lines and wove strips of the cut off portions from my signatures, as well as some fiber, mizuhiki cord, gold & green ribbon & hand painted cut offs. I glued on some colored faux rhinestones in various shapes. Added the title using colored pencils and shadow outlining it with a black micron pen. Added a metallic green clasp closure.
