Journal  (closed): approx 5.5"w x 6"h x .75" thk.

This is the second one I've done with the Raven's foot binding. I'm going to make a few more. I like the coils on the binding and the threads over the cover. It's again one of the instructions from the Mary Kaye Seckler book called "Book Arts - Beautiful Bindings for Handmade Books".

I used mat board for the covers and covered them with some paste paper I made recently. Yellows and reddish tones, nice and lively. I used copper eyelets and added a few more just for fun. The inside of the covers are covered with a ready made batik type paper in a reddish tone. I used red and bright yellow cardstock for spacers and used my Greek Key Border Punch on the yellow ones (both sides). The binding is done with 4 ply waxed linen thread - for the core/feet I used Heliwlol (which is like an olive green) and Butterscotch for the binding

I used 7 signatures of 4 pages each plus the cardstock spacers for each signature cut from Grumbacher's Pentalic Paper for Pens.
