This
is my fifth piano hinge book. The difference with this one are the signature
pages again. I wanted to use another method to create more pages
for each signature besides gluing which can add excess bulk to
heavier weight papers. So I cut out half stars on the pages I
wanted attached to the main signature then added a smaller red
metallic sticker to the center of each of these stars to
emphasize the star shape. I also off set the attached pages as
in the piano hinge #4. I used a gold parchment stationary paper
and edged the spine of each signature with red marker.
I used red and gold mizuhiki cords and some red metallic embroidery floss. I added various wood and metal, red and gold beads and a star bead.
I used a regular type of book board and covered it with a gold embossed star on red paper which I purchased from Quietfire Design. On the edges of the covers I thermal embossed them with a red embossing powder.
This is a 5 signature book.
