I picked up some Maya Road scalloped acrylic pages that are long and narrow and have binder ring holes in them. I cut two of the pages in half, so that I'd have two pieces that had the binder ring holes in it (and the other two would be holeless).

Since they are acrylic, I used an alcohol technique on them using (Shell Pink, Denim, Mountain Rose, Wild Plum & Silver Mixative), as well as blender fluid and a felt tool applicator. Pounced the colors, then dropped the silver, pounced some more added more color and blender and finally I got the look I wanted. I always find there is a slight texture to the alcohol technique so I rubbed some Dorland's wax over it and then buffed, it's now smooth as a baby's bottom. Rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design "Fill your paper") with Versafine Majestic Blue and clear embossed. I then went over it with Metallic Rub on "Midnight Sky" to make the stamping  more visible.

The covers only had the two holes on either edge, so I added holes in each scallop. I opened up an elastic hairband to loop through two of the holes and then I crimped the metal piece back on the elastic. Hid it with a piece of cardstock punched out in a flower shape and adhered with Golden's extra heavy gel medium. I added an extra hole on the front to attach the button. It has a shank on it which I sewed to another button on the inside with blue waxed linen thread.

I used 3 colors of cardstock in blues and purple as a cover for each of the 11 signatures. Each signature also has 6 pages folded in half to make a total of 28 pages in each signature and a total of  308 pages.

I used my own version of a copic binding with bead work using a purple 2 ply waxed linen thread.
