"Xmas 2008 - Batch 3

Created: Nov 9, 2008

I'm making a bunch of Xmas cards again this year, but this time I'm doing them in batches of 10. Makes it easier to keep track of and I don't get as bored with repetitive designs. Most of the cards use my calligraphic Peel Offs which are available through Paper Pastimes here in Calgary, or on line with the Canadian Peel Offs representative under the name of Elizabeth Craft Designs. There are four colors of each (silver, gold, black & white) and about a dozen word types available now with a couple more coming out in the new year.

All these cards are done on white cardstock. They are 4.25w x 5.5h and are $6.00 each. I think these are my favorites

All the cards are punched out on one edge with a snowflake border punch which, when I'm using the Pan Pastels colors the border on the inside too. I used Cornish Heritage Farms (Music Sheet #SB107XUM) and Ranger resist stamp pad, then colored with Pan Pastels (Payne's Grey). It reminds me of a soft material used on men's suits.

I then cut strips of various colored combinations of papers (vellum, heavy textured, leatherette &, pearlized) and attached my Peel Off and usually filled in some of the open spaces with Ritz Glitz micro fine glitter.

For the inside, I did a calligraphic quote with a 2.4 Parallel Pen and Moon Palace Sumi Ink, scanned it, then shrunk to size and printed it off onto white linen paper.
