WC for Cards - Day 2 - Serenity card
Created: May 6, 2014 This is the 2nd day of the online watercolor for cards class I'm using two of the newest sentiment stamps that I just got in the mail today from Quietfire Design. Soft Watercolor Wash background with Agnieszka Malyszek |
I used Derwent watercolor pencils (not Inktense) in yellow, blue, green & a touch of pink, then with my 1/2" brush wet the paper (Arches 90# HP) to blend colors. Dried. I die cut the edge using Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders One. Stamped the scenic elements (Flourishes "Swan Lake" #103) using Versafine Black Onyx, clear embossed. Adhered this to a dark blue Ruche cardstock, then on to my side folded aqua card. Stamped the "Serenity " with the black on a scrap piece of the aqua. Adhered a pale mint green ribbon across the bottom and then the sentiment which I cut a picot edge to both sides. Added oval white pearls on each corner. as a finishing touch added swirls of rhinestones in the water |
