Maker Day 4 - Easel Watercolor - ECD Season's Greetings - A Whisper On My Nose card
Created: August 11, 2017 I signed up for another of Jennifer Mcguire's onLine classes. Lots of Inspiration... I was in a mood to use Suzanne's Acanthus background stamp - such a beautiful stamp... and thought I'd turn it into an Xmas card. I'm using an A Way With Words dies "Season's Greetings" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE And using one of the newest stamps sets from Quietfire Design. There are so many coming out it's mind boggling...what to use first... ("A Whisper On My Nose" 3pce set); ("Leafy Acanthus Background")

Folded my red
textured cardstock to create my easel card. Cut another piece the
same size for the front. Applied various rainbow colors to my craft sheet in streaks using Distress mini pads. Misted with water and ran my white cardstock through the wetness. Dried. Using my Misti Stamped the acanthus background using Distress Picket Fence and embossing with white embossing powder on the Distress background. Trimmed down and adhered to front. Adhered narrow green ribbon as a border. Using my Misti, created a background of the acanthus background on dark green cardstock using Versafine "Toffee" and embossing with Queen's Gold embossing powder. Die cut the "Season's Greetings". The negative of the die cut is another card which you can see HERE. Adhered words to front. |

On the floor: Again using my Misti, stamped the acanthus background as a border, using Picket Fence and white embossing powder. Stamped the snowflakes and quote using the white pad and white embossing powder. Stamped a couple more snowflakes on white cardstock with the white pad and embossing powder. Fussy cut around them and adhered to floor to act as y stopper. |
