ID: Rainbow Maker Day 3 - Easel Rainbow - ECD Happy Birthday - Wishing You card
size: 5"w x 7"h (easel closed)

Created: August 11, 2017
Modified:

I signed up for another of Jennifer Mcguire's onLine classes. Lots of Inspiration...

Love the way this card turned out. So whimsical...

I'm using an A Way With Words dies "Happy Birthday" 2pce set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

And using a quote stamp from Quietfire Design,

("Wishing You Whimsy" 4pce set);

Folded my white Bazzill monochromatic cardstock to create my easel card. Cut another piece the same size for the front.

I needed more circles than are in a die cut package and still stay within the size of my card... so I created an electronic file to cut the circles for my rainbow. Cut from white cardstock and colored each section with the appropriate color using Distress Dabbers. Put some tape behind the circles to hold them together and then inked the front with Versamark and clear embossed.

Inked the clouds embossing folder (Elizabeth Craft Designs) with Distress pads in 2 shades of blue, misted with water and ran through my embossing machine using white cardstock. cut some slits in 2 of the cloud areas to slip my rainbow underneath, cutting off the excess rainbow. Adhered to cloud base, then onto my card front.

Found a unicorn image online. Had problems trying to cut it with my Cameo, so ended up printing it out and hand cutting. Adhered to front.

Stamped the sentiment to white cardstock using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed Cut with a picot end, added a star brad and adhered to front.

On the floor:  Stamped the sentiment on white cardstock using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Die cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs "Stitched Rectangles" sponged edges with some blue and adhered a foot to the backside and then onto the floor to act as my stopper.

Adhered a piece of blue gauze floral ribbon to the floor.

I had die cut circles using Spellbinders circle die set from white cardstock to use as my rainbow, but wanted more rings so that it had a large empty section to really look like a rainbow... I had colored them with the Distress pads and clear embossed. I was laying on my desk... so cut my "Happy Birthday" from it...
