Maker Day1 - Stencil Balloons - ECD Play - Do What Makes You
Happy - HB card
Created: August 7, 2017 I signed up for another of Jennifer Mcguire's onLine classes. I was in a little slump and wanted some inspiration... I'm getting plenty of that in the first day. Sheesh. I haven't been up this late in eons... Feels good. I'm using an A Way With Words dies "Play" and a stencil "Dotty" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE and HERE And using a quote stamp from Quietfire Design, ("Twirl & Enjoy" 3pce set);

Side folded my
pumpkin toned cardstock. I hand cut the balloon shape to create a stencil. I worked on 110# Staples brand white cardstock, blending using a round sponge and Distress pads lightly adding a bit of depth in one section of the balloon, then using the same pad and stenciled the dots. Moved over to the next balloon with the next color of the rainbow... (starting with Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Lucky Clover, Broken China, Wilted Violet). Trimmed down and used a squiggle edged scissor on the right hand side. Adhered to front. Adhered a bunch of matching twine with bows to some of the balloons. Die cut the word "play" from a red cardstock and adhered to front |

On the inside: Embossed the white cardstock using Cuttlebug "Happy Birthday" moving the folder in every direction to fill my cardstock. Sponged a touch of the Marmalade over the high points and then direct to paper to add some tonal value. Trimmed down and adhered to inside. Stamped the sentiment on white cardstock using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Trimmed down with the scissors. Hit the edges with the marmalade. Adhered to inside. Adhered the positive of the balloon and tied a purple twine bow. |
