I cut a piece of mulberry type paper with the heavy gold embossed stars (Quietfire Design) to a size smaller than my card, so that I would end up with a border with no design. I placed the  star paper inside may main white card and positioned properly, closed the card (so the star paper was sandwiched between), then ran it through my Cuttlebug (using the normal adapters). I was so pleased when it came out of the machine and I realized it had embossed beautifully and the star paper was not ruined at all. 

I  ran a Versa Mark stamp pad over the whole paper and dusted various blue colors of Perfect Pearls powders over it, adding more Versa Mark and powder where needed.  I added a bit more versa mark just on the stars and dusted them with gold powder. I used a Krylon Gold Leaf pen to edge two of the sides. Stuck the 2 ornament sticker down (Quietfire Design "Peel Offs Sticky Shapes - Ornaments" pkg) and sprinkled Perfect Pearls (gold and copper) and glitter in various colors. See detail pic below. I tore of a piece of dark blue cardstock and adhered it to the lower left side of the card. Rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design "Take Time to delight") using Brilliance Dew Drops stamp pad "Sky Blue" and embossed it with white detail embossing powder. Added a bow of metallic blue string and attached it with a bit of Diamond Glaze and a blue star brad.
