A birthday card for a friend.

I rubber stamped the oriental flower column onto text weight pearlized "Cocoa" paper using a black stamp pad and Hematite embossing powder. Mounted it to a piece of black Full Spectrum cardstock which I had punched out opposite corners using an EK Success Corner Adorner punch. Mounted that to a piece of metallic copper cardstock (Wassau Paper collection "Royal Metallic"). Punched a hole for my fibers. Set this aside to do the main card. Started with a brownish toned Parchment cardstock (not sure who by). Glued down the circle patterned wrapping paper leaving a thin border of the main cardstock. Took a piece of white textured pebble paper and used Rub On's to color it slightly (apple green, smoke blue and copper). Used a piece of left over copper cardstock that I had run through my Cuttlebug. Added the Peel Offs Happy Birthday and used a Zig black marker to make extension lines.

For the envelope I used a Folio Single fold cream colored paper. Wrote in Carole's name and address in a copperplate style, using a Nikko G nib and gouache (heliotrope) with gold powder sprinkled on top. Added the corner borders (Daisy Bucket "Flourish Brackets") using gold stamp pad and Queen's gold embossing powder. Masked off the address rectangle and then stamped the flowers (Autumn Leaves "Second Nature") using the same pad and EP. Rubbed some Pan Pastels around the edges and into the address area (Pink tint and Yellow/Green tint)
