ID: Bird of Paradise Condolance Card

A friend's mom just passed away and I made this card for her.

I rubber stamped the Bird of Paradise (Stubby Stampers #3719) with black stamp pad and black detail embossing powder on white cardstock. Used a black Zig marker to make the border. Colored everything in with Tombow watercolor markers, moving the color around with water. Put double sided tape on the back and then cut out all the negative areas. I adhered that to a piece of mat board which I had covered with Gold Leaf. Edged the mat board with a gold Krylon leafing pen. Glued this to a piece of dark blue Bazzill monochromatic cardstock which was then adhered to a dark blue cardstock card. I also masked off the area for a strip of Gold Leaf on the bottom of the card, which I then stuck one of my black Calligraphic Peel Off sentiments "In My Thoughts"

NOTE: The  Peel Off on the front of the card is a release that will be available in mid May/08. It is one of my calligraphic word sentiments on the "Elizabeth Craft Design" labels. There are 6 styles available at the moment with another 5 to be available mid May. They come in four different colors (gold, silver, black, and white); "Thank You", "It's a Boy, It's a Girl", "You're Invited" Congratulations" "Happy Birthday & "Love". The five for May are; "Friends", "Thinking of You", "Xmas Seasonal", "Xmas" & Happy Anniversary"
