Took a break from building my art room and went to our quilling session at Paper Pastimes. I was productive BIG GRIN. Just had to finish one of the leaves when I got home and then both cards would be done...

I'm using tried and true Xmas sentiment stamps from Quietfire Design  

I cut my own quill strips using my pasta machine one the linguini setting and using Canson Ingres paper which I colored to suit with Distress pads or some light weight cardstock (the berries and outline edge of the leaf).

Die cut the branch and holly leaves (Sizzix Tim's  "Holly Branch) from white cardstock, with Sookwang tape adhered to one side of the leaves. Applied Distress Gathered Twigs on the branch and embossed with 2 colors of Distress embossing powders (Old Paper, Vintage Photo) plus some Cocoa Bean regular embossing powder.

Adhered the leaves with white glue, and applied a very thin layer of glue along the edges, then placed my green quill strip along the contours. Filled in the leaf with a Bee Hive technique, then sprinkled Sweet Basil Ritz micro fine glitter in the spaces.  The berries were formed and a lot of glue put inside to hold their shape.

Sentiments stamped with Versafine Black Onyx or Vintage Sepia.
