I just got the latest plate of rubber from Quietfire Design - fabulous. There are over 20 calligraphic stamps on it, from simple sentiments like the "Just for you" & Just because" to beautiful quotes like the one inside.

I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Grand Oval set and die cut the largest oval in white cardstock, then ran through again to dry emboss. Sponged direct to paper (DTP) with Distress Fired Brick, then sponged more color to blend using the die as a stencil, misted with water and dried. Then again DTP with Vintage photo (without the die), misted with water and dried. Scored my lines and folded. Used this as my template to create the base of my card, scoring my lines just shy of the oval piece.

Cut some Kanban cardstock (Antique Floral Stripe Pink pkg) for either side, still leaving a small white border around.

Stamped my sentiments with some Versafine stamp pad and embossed with Queen's Gold. Adhered my oval to my main white card. I left a small section of the oval free from the main card so the left hand side could squeeze under the right hand side and keep the card closed.

The flower is made from off white crepe paper and a small oval punch (20 petals), pinching the bottom of the oval, while spreading the top open. Put a layer of white glue on a small circle and adhered 5 petals. continued in this manner with the other 3 layers of petals. Then put a beautiful Wedding Pearl Sticker (grant Archival - Paper Chic by Christina Re) - love these - in the center.

On the inside I stamped my quote with Versafine Vintage Sepia. Used the Classic Frame die and sponged the same 2 Distress colors around the edges, Then die cut the frame from some Oriental paper. Adhered it to the card, with the previous sponging it left a nice white border.
