This was done for a challenge. So I pulled out a cardboard box, and put some paper along each side and the bottom of the box. A sheet of 110# white cardstock, Biggie CP watercolor paper, Arches Text Wove, Arches 140# HP watercolor paper and Canson Drawing paper. I used Magic Colors, Bombay Inks, FW acrylic inks, Pearlescent acrylic inks, Lumiere and water. I took a fat brush and just dipped it into whatever color of ink, then just spattered in the box. It landed on all 5 pieces of paper (and I realized too late outside the box too). I continued doing this, misting occasionally with water until I got a good coverage. I then removed them from the box and continued distressing, rubber stamping, using a thin eye dropper and more misting. I also used a paper towel - flat - right on top of the wet paint to soak up excess moisture occasionally. I did this to all my backgrounds with the same piece of paper towel, which also got mounted to a piece of white cardstock (actually 2 pieces since the paper towel is 2 ply)

After cutting my rectangles I used a gold Krylon pen to color the edges.

Spatter - BD Wishes

This one was mounted to a Bling green and then onto an aqua blue. I added black Peel Off stars in the corners. Rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design "Life is not measured") with black Versafine stamp pad. The "Birthday Wishes" are one of my calligraphic Peel Off sentiments (see link at the bottom of page).

This one was mounted to a Bling orange cardstock and then onto a bright green.  Rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design "Love where you're at") with black Versafine stamp pad. The "Happy Birthday" is one of my calligraphic Peel Off sentiments (see link at the bottom of page). 

NOTE: These are some of my calligraphic word sentiment Peel Offs on the "Elizabeth Craft Design" labels. There are 12 styles available at the moment. They come in four different colors (gold, silver, black, and white); "Thank You", "It's a Boy, It's a Girl", "You're Invited" Congratulations" "Happy Birthday & "Love", "Friends", "Thinking of You", "Xmas Seasonal", "Xmas" & Happy Anniversary". There are a few more coming out some time in 2009 or early 2010.
